In 2017, Anandra and a team of volunteers from the Heart of Sound 200-hr RYT started offering the Sacred Sound Stage at the world-famous International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh.
With Pujya Swamiji’s blessings, we create an opportunity for the yoga of sound to be showcased among the other aspects of yoga. Since sound is the yoga that affects ALL of the bodies (including and beyond the physical), the Sacred Sound Stage offers many aspects of a sound-based practice, including:
- Nāda Yoga Experiences
- Sanskrit Mantra Workshops
- Sound Healing (using crystal bowls, gongs, medicinal tuning forks, etc.)
- Yoga of Sound Workshops
- Medicine and Sound Workshops
- Kīrtan and Devotional Chanting
The carefully curated content is sacred sound all day every day of the 7-day festival.
Please join us at the International Yoga Festival each year from March 1-7!
2019 Sacred Sound Stage Presenter Application
If you’re a professional teacher of sacred sound, or a kīrtan artist steeped in deep study and tradition (accurate Sanskrit pronunciation is a must!), you may fill out the application below. The opportunity to teach at IYF is all volunteer; presenters travel entirely at their own expense and no payment or stipend is given; all proceeds from the festival benefit Parmarth’s charitable projects.
