In addition to our beloved co-teacher and curriculum development expert Stephanie Keiko Kong, we are deeply honored to have the following teachers contributing to The Heart of Sound 200-hour RYT program in Rishikesh!
ABOUT PANDIT BALDEV RAJ VERMA
During Module 1, we prayerfully invite Anandra’s music guru, Pandit Baldev Raj Verma (and his wife, Santosh) to initiate us into the Hindustanī classical style of singing. He is a Top Grade Hindustani Classical Vocalist who started his musical training at age 5 and has made recordings and received awards and honors too numerous to mention. He has agreed to return and bless future Heart of Sound training groups if his schedule allows!
We were blessed to have him join us in March of 2017, where he led us in this sample of singing the vocal exercises. (He left most of us in the dust, but it was an extremely joyful moment worth watching! 😉 )
